Overview
In this article, we'll show you how to set up the integration between Pimcore and Intuendi.
Please note: Setting up the integration does not automatically mean your data is ready to be imported into Intuendi. Each ERP or e-commerce platform may include customizations that Intuendi is not aware of. For this reason, it is essential to coordinate the data integration setup directly with the Intuendi team during the onboarding process.
Requirements
To set up the Pimcore integration, you need access to the import feature, which is included in the basic plan.
Gather Credentials from Pimcore
To connect Pimcore with Intuendi, you’ll need the following credentials:
- Pimcore Base URL: The URL where your Pimcore instance is accessible.
- API Key: A token with access to Pimcore’s REST API with permissions to read required resources.
How to Create/Get API Credentials in Pimcore
- Log in to Pimcore Admin Panel
- Ensure you have administrator privileges.
- Create or Identify an API User
- Navigate to Settings > Users.
- Create a new user or use an existing one. Make sure the user has necessary permissions to access the data you want to import.
- Generate an API Key
- Go to Settings > API Keys (or equivalent section in your Pimcore version).
- Create a new API key for your integration.
- Assign the key to the API user.
- Set permissions to allow read access for resources such as Products, Inventory, Orders, or other relevant data objects.
- Collect Connection Details
- Note the Base URL of your Pimcore instance (e.g., https://yourcompany.pimcore.com).
- Record the API Key
Add Pimcore as a Data Source in Intuendi
Now, log into your Intuendi account and go to the Settings Page.
Under the Data Sources tab, click on the + button on the right and select your custom Pimcore connector.
Please, fill in all the info needed for the connection:
- Base URL: The URL of your Pimcore instance.
- API Key: The token generated in Pimcore.
Then, click Add. After Intuendi verifies the info, you’ll find the connection under your data sources.
Please note: You may encounter validation errors when creating the custom source. You can safely ignore them, the Intuendi Team will check the errors and let you know if there is the need to create a new source.
